In this Smooth 6.75 treadmill review, we'll try to see if Smooth Fitness made the right decision in replacing the Smooth 6.45 with this latest model in its treadmill line. While it's difficult to judge any new product model simply on the basis of what the manufacturer says about it, what you do manage to find out about this treadmill is enough to get fitness enthusiasts more than a little intrigued, and perhaps interested to get one for their own.

Similarities with the Smooth 6.45
For those who are using the Smooth 6.45, I'm sure you have found little to complain about in this treadmill. It is a powerful, solid machine that also bears the reliability that Smooth Fitness equipments are associated with. Well, if you liked the 6.45, then you're bound to like the Smooth 6.75 even better.
What features did the 6.75 inherit from the older model? There are several including the 20" by 60" jogging surface which users of any size should find comfortable already, and the powerful yet quiet 3.0 HP motor. This treadmill can go up to a maximum speed of 12 mph and a highest incline of 15, and can support users of a maximum weight of 350 lbs. It also comes with heart rate control and hand pulse grips.
New features added in the 6.75
But that's where it all ends as far the similarities are concerned. The question now is, "What does the Smooth 6.75 has that the Smooth 6.45 doesn't?" Plenty, as it turns out. What Smooth Fitness really highlights in the company website are these two: the dual-stage, soft drop folding, and a deluxe sound system. The improved folding feature, coupled with a lighter machine weight and transport wheels makes for a very easy-to-fold and easy-to-store treadmill.
Other than that, the Smooth 6.75 is also equipped with a much bigger dual-color LCD display, cooling fans, and hand rail toggle adjustments for easier control of the speed and incline.
What you get for the price
So how much would you have to shell out to get all those features? The Smooth 6.75 is regularly on sale at $1,799. From its price tag alone, you can deduce that this treadmill is one of Smooth's higher-end models. You'll be sure to find a lower-priced model that can serve the same purpose, but for those who can afford to get a treadmill that comes with all the bells and whistles, this is a good choice.
In addition, Smooth Fitness offers guarantees that are really difficult to say no to. This particular model has lifetime warranty for the frame and motor, 5 years for electronic parts, and 2-years for in home service.
Final thoughts
At this point (Nov 2009), the Smooth 6.75 treadmill has only been introduced for only a few weeks so it's hard to find even a single feedback from an owner or user of the treadmill. And this is perhaps the only negative issue, if you can call it that, I have with this machine. But features-wise though, the 6.75 looks to be another powerful and reliable treadmill the likes of which you can expect from Smooth Fitness. The bottom line of this Smooth 6.75 treadmill review is that while this equipment may be on the pricey side, it's worth it.
