Knowing how to tell if people are lying is very easy to do. Knowing what to look for makes the signs very simple to notice. Liars unknowingly touch the nose while telling a lie.

Most liars tend to overheat, sweat and have a time getting their breath when lying. Repeatedly ask a question 2 or 3 a person might forget what they answered the first time. He or she does not want to get tripped up in their answers. Most everytime there is a sign when a person lies that will show you how to tell if people are lying.

In the process of leaving before getting caught lying, the liar will probably show some anger. Touching of the nose is a subconcious tendency shown by someone who is lying. A person with confidence, sits up tall and straight might be tell the truth. Lack of confidence, poor posture in the body language, could be a sign of lying.

When speaking with someone pay close attention to the body language. If the person is constantly moving around and can not be still this could be a sign of lying. Crossing of the arms is generally a subconcious covering up of the lie being told. Liars generally do not like looking you straight in the eyes when lying.

They usually look at other parts of the face or look around or across the room instead. A story that has holes and just does not make sense, shows signs of lying. They just can not keep up with all the lies they have told earlier. Officers and officials know how to tell if people are lying by interviewing them. Repeating the same questions over and over again.

They will soon get there answers mixed up. Signs of lying is always there. People that repeat the question asked of them, are likely just coming up with another or excuse in their head. Notice if a persons voice tone tends to rise or not when the heat gets turned up with the line of questioning. Voice pitches seems to get a higher tone if someone is lying. Some have said if a persons looks up toward their left, your right when trying to remember, their probably telling the truth.

Looking toward their right your left when trying to remember is most likely going to be a lie. These are just a few ways to help you learn how to tell if people are lying.
